Absolutely not. The IT Service Desk does not provide any support with homework, assignments or projects.

Redundant Hardware

Academic Software: Azure Dev Tools

As a Student of the CONNECT program, you are entitled to free software from Microsoft Azure Dev Tools for Teaching. Software includes Windows Server versions, Microsoft Exchange, SQL Server, and More!

How do I get in?

A Note on Apple Products

Fanshawe College and the IT Service Desk are happy to announce our support for users using either Apple MacBooks, or Windows-based PCs.

We value user choice in selecting your computing equipment at Fanshawe College, and as such, we provide support to users of both Apple and Windows based computers.

Before you begin, however, you should always check with your professors to ensure that the Mac meets software requirements

Preferred Vendors

The IT Service Desk is a warranty-authorized service centre for the following computer brands. We are able to provide in-house comprehensive repair services by honoring the manufacturer warranty (or extended warranties that are through the vendor). Repairs are performed in-house using components sourced directly from the manufacturer. Plus, get a laptop to use for the duration of the repair.

Quick Policies

Password Resets

Password resets are handled by the IT Service Desk. Clients are referred to the Self-Service Password Reset system. Students will be required to update their profile (challenge questions) upon first login.

Employment

The IT Service Desk hires co-op students from IT Programs. Please do not submit your resume to us. For employment opportunities while in school, we recommend that you contact Career Services.

Homework

The IT Service Desk does not assist with homework. While our staff do assist with troubleshooting of software, some aspects, such as support internal to vmWare is exempt. Should you ask for homework assistance, your request will be refused, and you will be referred to the professor.

Willful copyright infringement is strictly prohibited and may result in the revocation of your computing privileges

Courses, Tests and Grades

The IT Service Desk does not have access to your Quizzes of Courses on FanshaweOnline. As such, we cannot assist you with your test, quiz, or grade. For questions regarding any aspect of your course, please speak with your professor.
